Can’t download from certain websites
-
Hi there, I’ve had issues for a couple of months with downloading using Vivaldi and Brave (so I assume it’s either down to Chromium or a bunch of unrelated websites changing their set-ups at the same time).
Since it usually happens when I’m trying to do work stuff, I wind up switching to Firefox and finishing the job, so I don’t report it here.
Unfortunately, the only site I remember that does this (as it happened again today) is beautypress.com.
The error Vivaldi gives is ERR_RESPONSE_HEADERS_MULTIPLE_CONTENT_DISPOSITION, and I believe it was the same in Brave (which I since removed).
There are a couple of other ones, and this began after a Vivaldi update.
I do have some extensions on Vivaldi but I had none in Brave. I block some cookies, notably Google ones, for privacy reasons, but again, Brave was out of the box and the errors were the same.

Is this your problem? https://stackoverflow.com/questions/13578428/duplicate-headers-received-from-server

@jackyan Hi,
If this is an engine related problem, then it's unlikely Vivaldi will be able to fix it by themselves.
Does it work in a guest window with no extensions running?
-
@luetage Thank you, but it doesn’t appear to be (hyphen in the file name, but no commas).
-
@LonM Thank you for the clue, let me try that guest window and come back to you.

Hi @LonM, it looks like it’s the same story in a guest window with no extensions. It could be the engine then—I’ll just have to switch browsers just for these sites and use Vivaldi for everything else for the time being.
-
@jackyan you could still file an official Vivaldi bug report, but if it relies on chrome, it may be a while before there is a fix. If it's easy enough, Vivaldi may patch the fix themselves.
-
@LonM Thank you, I’ll give it a shot and see where it leads.
