Ok i cant be sure what links i used last night so i am now trying this with the links you provided.
First link i download file "Vivaldi.2.5.1566.44.exe"
Second link i download the win 7/64 bit file "Vivaldi.2.7.1594.4.x64"
Both give me the identical error, i only wrote half of it originally so let me rewrite it here just in case it matters. "Windows cannot find 'Application\vivaldi.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again."
Heh obviously sholdnt matter since i am not typing in a command line.
Ty for trying to help i will check back later. -
OH ising Avast AV, and zonalarm. but i tried shutting off zonealarm entirely, it made no difference.

Are you running the installer from the download manager in your browser, or are you going to the folder where you saved it and running the installer ?
Maybe try right-click and run as admin. -
I always open the folder whether from the download manager or just explorer.
I just recently switched to avast for.. reasons. I cant seem to easily find its logs, so, I shut down all of its protections, ran the install as administrator as also suggested, and i still get the same error.
So I Uninstalled Avira completely, same error. -

There is no Windows 7 SP3.
There is only XP SP3 and apart from an old Version, Vivaldi does not run on XP SP3. -
Lol pardon i could have sworn win 7 had reached SP 3 at some point, but no I am using win 7 SP 1 x64. I did try the thing unzipping the package and running the .exe file directly, that did work, but of course still doesnt install it properly. So i just filed a bug report.

How did you install? Standard install for all users, or only for the user, or a stand alone install?
To verify that the Installer package is OK, you can perform a stand alone install, see
https://help.vivaldi.com/article/standalone-version-of-vivaldi/ -
@QuHno Thank you you just solved it, it was defaulting to a stand alone install for whatever reason, and it didnt click in my mind that mattered, it installed just fine now.

@Nushimitushi I assume VB-55265 is your bug - I will set it to CNR (Cannot reproduce) and close it, OK?
