      If I have FB messenger open in web panel and receive a message my cursor jumps to the message field.

        @ellinghi Hi, this may be a known bug.

        I think it happens any time the title of a panel changes - If messenger receives a new message, does the title update ("you've received a new message", or something similar)?

          Yes, the title changes from "Messenger" to "(1) Messenger". The Favicon also updates.

          Is there any way to lock the button title?

            @ellinghi Unfortunately not.

            All we can do is wait for the bug to be fixed. It's filed internally as VB-37747 if you want to keep track of it or check the bug status in future.
