Notifications of new versions/builds?

Just came across the Vivaldi blog and saw by accident that there is a new build. Opened the "Check for Updates" menu item, and indeed there was a new build ready for download (1566.6).
I highly appreciate that Vivaldi has a working in-app update mechanism on macOS, but is there also an option to get update notifications?
I'm new here and to Vivaldi, so probably I'm just missing the obvious…

@tflo The Vivaldi browser checks for updates every 24 hours so you should be notified of updates soon after they become available. Snapshot users also tend to monitor the Snapshot Blog or subscribe to the site's RSS feed.
