Closing on stable – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 1525.36
-
@jacekn: oh, looks like i've already commented on that and got confirmed: https://forum.vivaldi.net/post/288453
time to report that
edit: reported VB-52789
-
@jacekn yes it's exactly the same for me, but because I thought all of these things would be pretty obvious (and already known) to the devs and testers, I summed them up under the phrase "huge performance issues" & "insane lag and stutter". It must be also related to this "https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/36970/severe-performance-drop-of-tabs-moved-in-a-second-window/23", both must be affected by the same bug.
-
@npro: well, performance is kind of okay for me (except youtube) so i wouldn't tie these two as too obvious
-
Hey @jon any news on the webpanel scroll bar thing? i cant add more webpanels
-
Also will there be any new features for stable 2.5?
-
@joao-rossa For now, you can use keyboard shortcuts to access up to 9 web panels, then use the Next Panel shortcut to access the 10th panel, the 11th panel, etc.
How many panels do you have?
-
I am on Vivaldi 2.5.1525.4 There is bug in context menu update notification
Is it fixed now?
-
@mtaki14: This issue has been here since the 2.0 release, so it won't stop any releases (as the final already has the issue), but we are actively working on a fix, I am hopeful it will be in a minor update / snapshot soon
-
@Aronand you mean it's coming back as regression every now and then? Because I can't notice any lag and stutter in Stable 2.4, works fine there.
-
@Pesala I have around 19 webpanels xD
-
I experience a really weird behaviour with this snapshot. I use tabs on the left side. Whenever I close a tab, the tab list would "redraw". Now it doesn't. After tab closing I opened two new tabs. One is now "on top" of the other. Attached a screenshot for better visualisation
-
@joao-rossa I guess you really need a scrollbar, but you could try rotating your monitor to portrait mode if it supports it.
-
@npro: It should be reproducible, if I have the correct information, all the way back to 2.0, I'll check.
-
@aronand: Ah, I think I mixed the regression point for Tab-tiling breaks various features (VB-51831)
