Please stop pulling focus from main window to panel on notification
-
I submitted this as a bug report, but I'm submitting here as well in case this isn't considered a bug.
Currently, if you have a web page (ie messenger) open in a Vivaldi panel and receive a notification in that panel, focus is forcefully pulled to the panel.
This has two implications: 1. the web panel will have its notification dismissed and 2. much more annoyingly, whatever you were doing in a main window or in the URL bar is interrupted until you click back into it to return focus.

@flooners Yeah, I've seen this too. For me it happens when the title of a web panel updates.
I submitted a bug report as well a while ago, but that in turn was a duplicate of an even older bug which is yet to be fixed. For reference, the older one was VB-37747

VB-37747
My issue, for reference, is VB-52535
This issue is frustrating and has been in the browser for as long as I can remember. It pretty much ruins any web messaging service from being used in panels.

If it helps to add my voice to this as a recent adopter of Vivaldi and loving the overall experience except for this annoyance. I've not tried if this is specific to a panel, or if the experience is the same with two tiled tabs. I certainly hope it's specific to panels. I'm going to try it next.

How can I check updates to this bug/feature request?

This is an older issue and should be fixed now. If anyone still sees it, please file a new report.
