@Vividal Then you should start a new thread in the appropriate forum: Windows Forum if you're using Windows, etc.
Provide a recipe how to reproduce the issue, saying if you're using any modifications (like iAN CooG) or extensions, or external software.
The feature request to lock the speed dial is not related to the bug. If the bug does what you say then it should have a higher priority than a Feature Request, which is only a workaround to block the bug.

Settings/General/Startup/Homepage
Select Specific Page
Impossible to edit the web address. For example, clear the current address, then enter the letter "h" and you get http://h . Now touch Backspace 2 times and you end up with http://http
. I'm trying to enter a secure https:// address and am unable to do so. Try to backspace at this point and cursor won't move. -

OMZ, nasty. My otherwise well-behaving SS just went feral on me. It froze & ate 100% of one of my cpu cores, thereby bumping up the temperature alarmingly. Had to kill V. The trigger seems to have been to perform a "Find in Page" on a site, followed by an attempted Page Down mouse gesture [though tbh i suspect the freeze occurred just before the MG].After restarting V-SS, i could not reproduce the bug. Ooh.

@Steffie Did this happen on a new page (that might still have been in the process of loading) or a previously-hibernated tab that just got activated?

@xyzzy Good question, but no not a new tab. Twas one of my "permanent" tabs, & whilst i had recently refreshed/reloaded it, that process was over prior to my FiP & MG.
I realise there's not enough info here to investigate, given that it did not afterwards repeat for me. However it shocked me so much i felt i still should mention it.

Anyone else experiencing stalls/freezes with Google Keep? At first, when opening, it looks like it doesn't finish loading, then the tab freezes, then the whole browser.

Clearing site data seems to fix that.
