Tabs are blank when closing other tabs + page rendering issue
-
My problems that I have are with this browser and only this browser. I use Opera, IE, Chrome, & Firefox (other builds 64 bit & Pale Moon). I'm running Windows 8.1 x64, graphic card is NYIDIA For problem # 1 For the last 2 versions, when I close a tab, all of my other tabs are blank. The only way I can see the other tabs is if I open another tab (blank or other wise) problem does not occur on TP3. For problem # 2 I'm having a problem rendering Wunderground.com Interactive Radar. For a period of time (up to 6 minutes) the radar is blank. This problem has occurred from Day 1 using it. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Alex - I have been unable to replicate either of your problems. I am using the latest snapshot - Vivaldi 1.0.212.3 x32. I am running Win 7 x64 on a Home Built PC with 16 gb of RAM. I have an AMD Radeon R7 video card. I don't know if the OS or video card are making a difference, but I just have not experienced these issues.
I wish I could help, but hopefully someone else will step in with a solution.

Which version/build of Vivaldi are you running, and is it 32 or 64-bit? (I ask because 64-bit Vivaldi is still more "experimental" than 32-bit versions, with most users running the 32-bit version - which might explain if so few others have reported similar problems). Also, Nvidia drivers tend to be "fussy" in situations where other video drivers may not be, so there may be something of a "culture clash" between the Nvidia drivers and the graphics output mechanisms of Vivaldi, especially (but not only) if 64-bit Vivaldi is being used.
FYI, I've been running every 32-bit Vivaldi version on Win7-64 from the beginning of Vivaldi and use the Wunderground radar sites multiple times a day (and often multiple times an hour) without ever having run into the slowness problem you're seeing. The webpage "framework" pops up almost immediately, and the radar image itself populates within two seconds, even on a "slow" day.

Hmm I'm using a 32 bit build but after the installation of a new snapshot I always have had that blank screen bug, it doesn't depend by the video card I guess.
Anyway restarting Vivaldi the issue goes away.
It was the same with the previous snapshot.Interesting! I've never seen the blank screen bug in any of the Vivaldi versions (and I've run them all). However, all my installs have been as stand-alone, and that may have an impact. I've done both direct and update types of installs, and the only "significant" Vivaldi issues I've had have all had to do with occasional hiccups in the Vivaldi update process (infrequently) or with file downloads disappearing (now fixed). If I recall correctly, there are one or two other threads here in the forum about blank tab issues, so the problem is very real for those who run into it.

@ Gino The radar is Wundermap Radar, so the second one.
@ Blackbird I use the 32 bit version, never the 64 bit version, or until the browser is stable.
What I see is the the radar loads properly, but then disappears ( for up to 6 minutes). I'm a weather nut, especially during severe weather session.
Nvidia has had some bugs in the past, including the driver briefly crashing. -
The tab problem I have, occurs if I close the right most tab. If I close any other tab other than the right most tab, everything works as expected ( I see the other tabs and they are not blank.)
The radar issue is not a big deal to me, the other issue is.

here it doesn't matter, which tab I close. Always the next active tab ist blank. As mentioned, clicking another tab and switch back solves the problem
Win7 x64, Vivaldi x64 standalone, 8 GB RAM, AMD HD6870
