I'm seeing the error message about sync not connecting again. Is there any way to see what actually caused these (i.e. if it was a net issue, sync server issue, or vivaldi itself causing a problem)?

Right now you can use vivaldi://sync, but that only seems to start logging things after you load the page which isn't super helpful.

@lonm: Are you connected? Because we do have an issue where Sync warns that it has stopped working, but appears to still work anyway. We have a fix internally that we are considering. If there is an RC3, it will almost certainly include it.

@ruario I saw that.
Usually happen when I open both an "old" snasphot (2.4.1468.4) and the last one (2.4.1488.28). But then sync seems to work fine.

Not sure when this started happening, but I notice when playing a YT video fullscreen, sometimes I forget to press 'F' to exit before I press Ctrl+W to close the tab. This will lead Vivaldi to 'lose' the tab bar completely.

I think I can reproduce this consistently. Not sure if it's this snapshot or if it goes a while back.

Also pressing F11 twice make it reappear, so this is a graphical glitch.

Anyone else seeing this?

@ruario: I was connected, but I noticed it after logging in to a computer that was previously locked - I don't know it that would affect anything. In any case, sync seemed to working fine anyway.

@hadden89 - maybe this is related. I had started my 2nd machine and it was running a snapshot from early last week. But it was only after updating it to the latest RC that it sent the error message.

Damn, that's weird, after restart it's back again. So not sure how to reproduce. Apparently, also Alt-menu was broken when it happened, so something messed up my Alt-key I think?

@Pathduck Still works fine here... but then again, it never stopped working for me in recent SS's either, even when others posted of hassles with it.

All the issues I mentioned for RC1 are still present in this version.

• Enabling or disabling an extension option results in the buttons disappearing (e.g. Allow access to file URLs).
• Hibernated icons dim even if setting required to do so is turned off.
• Option-clicking the panel icon does not enable or disable floating panels.
• The profile icon disappears while in guest mode.
• The trash icon does not work while in guest mode.
• The home button should be disabled while in guest mode.
• Private windows can still be opened while in guest mode.
• "vivaldi://guest-intro" text should be absent from the address bar, just like "vivaldi://startpage" is absent in a regular tab.
• vivaldi://startpage, vivaldi://bookmarks, and vivaldi://history are not disabled while in guest mode (vivaldi://settings and vivaldi://extensions are disabled, which is inconsistent).
• All pages briefly show the following error message before loading:

Uhm, I tried changing some option like Allow access to file url or Allow in incognito... and I confirm it toggles on/of the icon. Really weird.

I had completely forgotten about this issue as I ended up re-building my workflow of printing to just download for reading in an external PDF viewer.

My workflow seems to be different. I'm ordering a lot of products from different websites. I'm usually printing the product descriptions as well as the order confirmations to a PDF printer (PDFFactory) that collects all pages in one document and then save the final PDF document in the appropriate folder. So in my case, there is no option to download a PDF, I have to create it first by virtual printing.

By the way "Save to PDF" doesn't work either since Vivaldi is not even able to render the preview of the page for printing.

@PardusPars Similar issue here, bookmarks duplicate when dragging from one folder into another folder, and do not retain their title. I'm really hoping the developers address this, it's not the kind of bug I had to deeply hunt for, its a bug that disrupts my daily usage

@Gwen-Dragon Yes I reported the bug a few days ago on the previous snapshot, i'm just seeing that this is a release candidate version and that this issue might still be in the final 2.4 stable and I'm like "come on guys"

@Gwen-Dragon Sorry, I reported again because the "How to report a bug" page said they can't process bug reports with more than one bug, and in my first bug report I mentioned both the duplication issue and the title disappearing issue. I figured these would be seen as two separate bugs, so I just made a new report for each of them
