One library to rule them all

Oslo Public Library is Norway’s oldest and largest public library. Now you’ll find Vivaldi installed on their public terminals.

I would like to see Vivaldi in any public library.
-
mmh... Why I'm pretty sure that you'll find "book suggestions" in the notes?
-
@Hadden89 I don't think there are any suggestions hidden. But let's wait for more comments regarding this.
-
I only hope they have good administrative templates ...
-
They should use Vivaldi in all of the Norwegian government departments as the default browser, and then they can pay Vivaldi for support
Probably wouldn't work for 'fair business rules' reasons but it's a nice thought
-
So Vivaldi booked a spot on the computers.

Great news

Ah...to live in Oslo. @Pathduck Not too sure about a library supporting via money to Vivaldi. But the thought of V being used as the default browser is one way to spread the word about our beloved browser.
-
Vivaldi as a default browser in public libraries means that there are going to be many people who will be busy for a long time with the teminals, with bright eyes and a smile.

Hi, we installed Vivaldi alongside Chromium and Firefox on our public terminals, because we believe in the freedom of choice - also on the Internet! Our public library is already open for everyone, no matter race, sex, age or political preferences. And the same goes for the Internet - it should be available for everyone, for the same reasons -and it still mostly is, at least for now - even if the pressure from the commercial services are getting higher and higher (centralized social networks, network neutrality, censorship, and so on).. So I think it's a natural fit - free browsers and free access to knowledge, online or by written books - it should be available for everyone, all over the world!
-
@stein I like your attitude. But are you from the Oslo Public Library, or some other library?
-
online is the best choice now
-
Thank you for sharing this information. It's great to read about such libraries.
