How does spell checking work in Vivaldi?
-
I came across this in typing my last post. I was getting "errors" apparently based on a dictionary that I don't want to use (please don't tell me that spell checking is being done by sending - and recording - everything we type over the internet).
How does Vivaldi choose the dictionary, where is it, and is there any way to change it?
ModEdit: Title changed from [ Can someone explain how spell checking in Vivaldi works?] to [How does spell checking work in Vivaldi?]

I know it says
vivaldi://settings
but to get here you must typechrome://settings
& watch it automagically then change. -

Currently, there is a bug which prevents changing the dictionary in some cases. See e.g. https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/34804/can-t-add-language-from-the-setting

Hello there,
No, Vivaldi Browser Spell Checker is not a Key logger. It helps us to avoid typos.
