Option to disable forceful foregrounding of the Browser when opening links in other programs
-
In Firefox there's a setting to disable it forcing itself into the foreground as soon as a link was clicked in, for example, an email client.
Sadly no such setting exists in Vivaldi which makes it a major annoyance when I'm going through my mails from Steam discount sites and want to look at multiple games, because after each link I clicked I have to jump back to my mail client, since Vivaldi forced itself in the foreground.
So I'd like to see such a setting to alter this behaviour added to Vivaldi.

I second this suggestion.
Can the developers please take this as a 'feature' request.
Thank you.

Hello,
Thanks to the Vivaldi team for developing a very good alternative to G. Chrome.
Any time a link is clicked on any other app - if Vivaldi is the default browser - it wakes up the taskbar (from autohide) and furiously blinks the Vivaldi icon there - demanding attention, as it were.
Can this be changed to make Vivaldi quietly efficient, and load the page in the background and wait politely for me to pay attention to it.
Thank you.

Started a new topic, since this was suggested by the forum web site - since the previous post on this topic was 'old'.

@Gwen-Dragon
Noted. And, of course, definitely don't want to create duplicates.
Sorry about the extra work to join the thread.
As mentioned "Started a new topic, since this was suggested by the forum web site - since the previous post on this topic was 'old'."
- henceforth, will ignore this suggestion which is, presumably, from the forum software.
Thank you.

@padu The message does not apply to feature requests, but is a generic message to reduce necro-posting. If I remember rightly it shows up if a thread has had no replies for more than six months. Extending that to a year would not help. Some feature requests are more than two years old already.
