Notification ads
-
I was very surprised to find some ads coming from Vivaldi after I disabled as many ads as I could find coming from my operating system. I eventually found the offending setting in vivaldi://settings/content/notifications and turned it off.
Since Vivaldi is so privacy conscious, why does it have ads?

@CJ-Dennis Vivaldi will NOT install ads in any way by itself. Most likely you have surfed some sites that try to convince you to click here and there.

I seems nowadays that every website you visit wants to install notifications. I always click "No"! It would be great if there was a notification blocker too, i.e. "Don't ask me to allow notifications".

@CJ-Dennis Please feel free to add the request in the Feature Request category. The more votes it gets, the more likely it is being implemented. Until then use something like uBlock Origin to keep most of that unwanted crap away from the browser.

Visit this page :
vivaldi://serviceworker-internals
And then look for anything that seems dangerous, and chose "unregister".
These service workers can spam notifications for good (social media updates) Or bad (adverts)

@LonM Thank you very much! It worked perfectly. This is the correct answer
