Mac improvements and bookmarking tab selections – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 1455.4
-
@kahukura: yep. It still freezes.
-
@AndreyL Thanks for checking. Will ask then from time to time again.
-
There are still problems with
Ctrl
+F
in this buildMy Snapshot have just crashed twice...
-
@rotfl: yes. It was fixed before RC, with with the recent RC builds the hang is back. Vivaldi is unusable again, have to downgrade now.
-
Downdrading to 2.3.1440.37 build seem to help.
-
I can't seem to drag and arrange the extension icons on the address bar anymore. Whenever I try, the icon just disappears and leaves behind an empty spot. Restarting the browser brings it back.
-
@thedragonreborn: Yep - this is my last snapshot - back to stable - I can't spend my days waiting for fixes on basic functionality.
-
@buak: Confirmed. Been like this for a long time. Reported it before, but nobody else seemed to have the problem.

@Gwen-Dragon It seems to be working OK here.
Specs: AMD A10-6800K, 8 Gb on Win 10 64-bit 1809 build 17763.316 • Snapshot 2.4.1455.4 (64-bit)

I am still struggling with big performance issues. I tried with a clean profile, and I tried the official version as a standalone installation.
I experience lagging and non-responsive UI (seconds delay in mouse or keyboard input). Lagging increase over time.
I noticed that the Vivaldi Background task takes a lot of CPU (50-120% !).
Winx64 Vx64
PS: I had to switch to Opera as my daily driver ...
-
Ctrl
+F
=> 3 letters... aaaaaaand another crash today@AndreyL Yup... I know that testing software on so many system configurations is hardcore but last snapshots have big stability problems...
Question to the devs:
Would it be possible to use Application Recovery and Restart API on Windows builds? -
I notice that Sync fails now, but it worked fine yesterday after the Snapshot update so I assume something is wrong on the server side?
-
@Pathduck Sync here is on 2.3.1440.37 and this snap.

@DoDe What is your option for the New Tab page? I use the Speed Dial start page, and see no issues here.
