Mac improvements and bookmarking tab selections – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 1455.4
-
I would love to see in the options the ability to open new tabs "As tab stacks based on host address" because the current implementation very often opens irrelevant tabs creating more problems in managing them instead of being helpful.
-
My Vivaldi's just crashed (again) when searching "crash" on this page...
-
@venildo Same here, LOL I just wanted to test and boom it crashed
Damn that bug is hard to get a consistent way to reproduce. I've reported it as VB-48444 on 22/1, and it still happens from time to time. Although not as often as it used to.

@kassman said in Mac improvements and bookmarking tab selections – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 1455.4:
@pesala: Same issue on my work computer. Running windows 10 enterprise 1709 64bit.
Have no issue at home with 1809.On the work computer, just pressing "ctrl + t" to open a new tab ends up with a fullscreen vivaldi logo.
need to alt + f4 and reopen the browser to continue. But if i "clone tab" or open a bookmark, everything works as usual.
"Start page" is what should be opened with my ctrl + tI'm getting this on Stable now, after today's update. Will crosspost to that thread next.

@venildo I experienced this for the first time in several snapshots (I can swear it was fixed a couple of SS ago) and it actually happened while pressing backspace to correct what I mistyped in the ctrl-f search box.
"Luckily" Vivaldi managed to leave a dmp in reports, if needed I can create a bugreport and attach it to the JIRA reply. -
@rotfl: It seems to be more frequent in this build than the last one.
-
@Pathduck & @ian-coog: I thought it had been fixed too, a few weeks ago it was crashing a lot and the last two snapshots were working better. Maybe a tricky bug with some kind of concurrent interference. But it's kind of annoying I don't know for other people but I use "search in page" a lot, generally as the second step of a web search so it makes Vivaldi almost unusable. For the last three years, it's the first time I need to drop the snapshots
-
Hopefully this is related to the other crashes reported in the stable which have rendered it unusable for me.
Crash when closing tabs
Crash when using in-page search
Crash loop when accessing notes in side panel
All repeatable and not just a one off
-
The middle-mouse-moving-around of Speed Dial tiles is fixed as well, at last
-
The dragging elements of page caused the entire browser close is happening again on this build at more frequently.
