Sync fails very often with "Failed to retrieve data from server"

I am using Vivaldi sync on Windows, Linux and Mac and it fails very often.
The error message is "Failed to retrieve data from server". Afterwards it does not recover. I need to restart the browser to get it working again.
My sync settings are:
That's quite annoying. Does anyone has the same problem?

@windsource Working fine here at the moment. Temporary problems are not unusual.
Wait for a few minutes/hours and/or restart usually fixes the issue.
I have not seen any stats, but I guess that the uptime is as good as many similar web-based services.

I have the problem for 2 weeks now since I started to use Vivaldi. I also reported a bug 1 week ago but did not get an answer so far.

I am not using a proxy server and the time deviation between the different vivaldi browsers might be only some seconds at most.
The same problems happened today again and the sync did not recover. If there is a problem the sync just stops. When I restart the browser sync works again. My expectation is that the browser automatically retries to sync if there is a problem. -
