Can no longer use Sync

Love Vivaldi, and promote it as much as I can, but I cannot continue to use Sync for the foreseeable future. It still continues to disable or disconnect or in some way stop working, and there is no warning that it stopped, so somewhere along the way I notice that my other machine is not sync'd, and my bookmarks are messed up.
I don't know what to do. I started two threads on this problem during the year, and even submitted a bug report some time ago. Still, there are problems, and I have no clue why. I have only 5 extensions:
- Adobe Acrobat
- Ecosia Search Engine
- LastPass
- Fireshot (for screenshots)
That's it. And none of those are the cause of the problem, I've tested.
Unfortunately, I am out of the sync game.

@JoelYoung The icon in the Status Bar should have a cross when sync has stopped working. Do you hide the Status Bar?

@Pesala Status bar not hidden, but never noticed the cross. That's most likely my own eyesight but I usually spot things that are not normal when they occur. I'll be sure to check it every time I launch V. Thanks for the heads up.

Mine quit working a few days ago. The icon in the status bar alerted me to the fact that it had stopped. I was giving it a few days including the weekend to resolve itself but it's still not committing data to the server.

@Pesala Sync stopped working again for me today. I stay logged in but Sync is disconnected.
There was no cross in the status bar icon. It was simply a grayed-out cloud. This might be part of the reason I never noticed a cross before.
I posted this reply just for the record, so it remains an issue.

@JoelYoung Tried to logout and re-login into sync?
It worked for me few days ago, and sync is still on since then.
(But actually shouldn't happen).
I think grayed cloud means "data downloaded but no uploaded". -

I think grayed cloud means "data downloaded but no uploaded".Yeah, ever since I started using Sync earlier this year (when I switched to snapshots) this issue has been ongoing. Doesn't matter if I log out and back in, restart V, reboot computer, anything at all. Sync keeps disconnecting. I wish I knew how to even begin troubleshooting it, since I know the devs are super busy with a bazillion bugs already.

@JoelYoung I don't know what could be... no proxy or particular firewalls which could be mess with syncing?

I started to use Vivaldi Sync a couple of weeks ago. I found that computers don't automatically sync with others, opening the cloud icon may list different computers and which tabs they had open, with stated option to open all those tabs. I didn't try it. However a few days ago I found clicking on cloud showed that one computer shows 3 different tabs sets, 2nd computer one set, and 3rd computer not listed at all. Then I tried 'reset remote data' from one computer. Now the cloud icon is greyed out and doesn't respond to clicks on both of 2 computers. I guess Sync isn't going to work for me. I've gone back to syncing manually.
