@luetage Thanks. That alone doesn't quite do it, but via trial & error this helps a bit more:
/* My attempt to make header-bar purple */ #submenu { background-color: #5500ff } #submenu li { background-color: #5500ff } #submenu ul{ background-color: #5500ff }
Now the bar is purple right across [progress!], but there's a strange residual white element at LHS & RHS ends:
Random minor white elements persist in a few other places on the page, so my code-hunt continues.

Add
border-bottom-width: 0;
to#submenu

After update, Unread number icon is not showing.

@enc0re thanks for reporting this issue. We're aware of it and working on it.
-
@zaibon Thanks for reporting it, we're looking into it.

Roses are red
that much is true.
Violets are violet
But cobalt will do. -
@pafflick Thank you. Sadly:
The child elements of #submenu don't have their own background colour. You should use this instead:
Doesn't work / change anything. My longer/clumsier one [incorporating your other post's tweak] does work.
/* Make header-bar purple */ #submenu { border-bottom-width: 0; background-color: #5500ff } #submenu li { background-color: #5500ff } #submenu ul { background-color: #5500ff }
Also...
Use .navigation-link span instead of span.visible-xs-inline.showmenutext
...is not needed now, given the bar is happily purple, thus the default white font within makes a good contrast.
Also...
Change to color: #005500 !important;
...didn't change anything on the page, including Stylus still gives errors. To be clear, the elements i'm trying to recolour are the currently aqua links, whose contrast is inadequate against my recoloured background [so i was going to try a dark green, otherwise red/brown].

You must've done something wrong. Most likely your CSS code needs some cleanup. I just tried this:
#submenu { background-color: #420a61 !important; } .topic .posts>li a { color: #005500 !important; }
and it works. Try using it without any other CSS, to see for yourself.

You can now see all your uploads by visiting https://forum.vivaldi.net/me/uploads
Is this only valid for new uploads?
I just have checked my uploads and it shows zero. My last uploads were one day before the forum update. -
@QuHno Yep, only the ones that have been uploaded after the update show.
-
@Gwen-Dragon no, never
-
@Gwen-Dragon I replied to your second post, lol.

Thank you [again] Indeed i did; there was some lousy code i'd earlier inserted & forgotten about, which never fully achieved what i wanted anyway, but transpired to be conflicting with your
#submenu { background-color: #420a61 !important; }
After deleting my crap, your code worked just fine... exactly as you already knew, blush.
That said, this one...
.topic .posts>li a { color: #005500 !important; }
...was much more of a mystery to me. No matter how hard i looked & looked at it, my code & your code appeared to be identical, yet mine did not work. In exasperation i copied your code segment completely & replaced mine with it via pasting... & instantly then it worked fine. Clearly my code WAS bad, but it looked the same... i just don't understand this weirdness.
Once again you saved my bacon [weird expression from a vegetarian] -- bad me for ever doubting you!

@gaelle great updates. Thank you

Can we get an option to get the red theme back? No, a forum mod is a no go for me.
If not, at least change the bg color of the unread indicator on the top nav bar, because red on blue is a huge needle for the eye.
EDIT: Was it black? I remember it was better than this blue.

Agreed, the number is hard to read on the dark blue background.
However, it is fine when highlighted.
-
@Pesala
It's not very ergonomic. And this shade of blue is too bright anyway. -
It's fine, but there is a small bug. When accessing the forum, the numbers of new messages and notifications are not shown in the corresponding icons. It is only updated when I click on them
