On the plus side, it was only in a snapshot and the issue didn't cause data loss, so it's not the worst mistake you could have made.

As a programmer, I know your feelings.
Last week I accidentally removed a \ from a path in a copy procedure, so all copies failed, while the version I tested worked because was built before the accidental removal. -

Chimpanzees Are Smarter Than Humans by some margin at some tasks.
Perhaps you can employ one for certain repetitive aspects of Beta testing that require spotting differences in the code?
