Gmail not working with third party cookies disabled
-
Cannot login I get ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS, works fine with Edge, Chrome with third party cookies disabled.
-
@saudiqbal It happens to many sites. You might like to allow them * per site*.
-
This is happening to me, too.
@lamarca This is a new issue. I was on gmail yesterday with third party cookies disabled. Today I can't. On 2.2.1360.4 (Official Build) (64-bit).Also, how do you enable third party cookies per site? I could find no way to do this.
-
@maniac Indeed. Not working on test build. Fine on Stable
-
@lamarca thanks. Not sure you saw my edit as I ninja'd it in as you posted.
"Also, how do you enable third party cookies per site? I could find no way to do this."
-
@maniac Nope. I read before

@maniac said in Gmail not working with third party cookies disabled:
"Also, how do you enable third party cookies per site? I could find no way to do this."
It's not implemented yet. I will check it out.

Thanks. For the time being I was able to work around the issue by un-blocking third party cookies, logging into gmail, then re-blocking them. For some reason, I am now even able to refresh gmail after doing that. I have not tried closing the browser and re-opening it, but we'll see what happens when I try that next (probably Tuesday).

@maniac You are welcome. I noticed that. Disable & Enable, go to gmail, click on the green padlock (Address Bar), go to cookies, tab Blocked

same problem, always accept cookies + 3rd party cookies disabled (enabled->disabled not solved problem)
runnig Vivaldi.2.2.1360.4.x64 on Win7
scenario for temporary fix:
problematic cookie is mail.google.com->Service Wokers->https://mail.google.com/
list cookies
delete problematic cookie
refresh
-gmail loaded-
logout
login
same problem - so again delete it, ... -
The issue has been reported and confirmed.
VB-46021If you are having the same issue, just keep an eye on the Snapshot's Changelog
-
@lamarca Thank you!

@maniac You are welcome.

Oddly enough I have never had an issue with gmail on Vivaldi, even at the time of the very first Alpha release.
Above is the way I have permission set for cookie handling. It seems to suit me and does not interfere with gmail, outlook or ProtonMail.
The wee lock on gmail tells me there are 48 cookies active and none blocked as can be seen in the detailed dialog below:
All the allowed cookies are under that tab.
I have always been using using Vivaldi Snapshots, currently: 2.2.1360.4 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Win10 Home, HP Pavilion laptop, i5, 16 GB RAM[EDIT] Also I always use https://gmail.com. Don't know if that makes a difference...

@greybeard Stable version is not affected.
The issue is back on SS Vivaldi.2.2.1360.4.x64 -
Gmail still not working with third party cookie disabled.
-
Still problem in Vivaldi.2.2.1369.6.x64.exe
Build before 1360.4 was working properly. -
Gmail still not working with third party cookies disabled.
-
Still same problem in Vivaldi.2.2.1373.4.x64

I've experienced issues in the last few versions of Snapchat with Block 3rd Party cookies enabled.
I've experienced issues when clicking on the "Details" button (lower left corner) in Gmail to load the page of recently logged-in Gmail sessions, but many times, this page fails to load. If I uncheck Block Third Party Cookies (to allow them), this problem disappears.
Also, Gmail folders/labels fail to update or paint. For instance,, if I empty the Spam folder, it will still show the number of emails in the spam folder and "Spam" will still be bolded even when I select my Inbox afterwards. This problem seems NOT to be related to Vivaldi but a problem with the NEW gmail interface.
