Hold cmd + Q to quit on macOS
-
Hi Vivaldi team,
Great browser! After switching to Chrome after many years using Opera back in the day, Vivaldi feels in many ways like coming home.
However, a small feature request from me would be to add the Hold cmd + Q to quit feature from Chrome. Sometimes it happens that I press cmd + Q instead of cmd + W when closing a tab, and in those cases it would be nice to have that hold feature to confirm the intent of shutting down the entire browser.
Cheers,
Carl -
This is the worst feature of chrome! I disable that instantly! Every other app on macos quits when cmd+q! If you don't like the shortcut you can remap it only for yourself:

@tborychowski I don't think the request is too far fetched, considering the strength of Vivaldi lies in the configurability. Looking at all of the existing features that can be tweaked in the setting panels, it definitely negates the attitude of looking at something as the "worst feature".

And now it's ***** in. If I don't find a way to disable it, I will quit vivaldi altogether.

@tborychowski Calm down. But, I'd also like to know how to disable the feature.
On Chrome, you can disable it from the "Chrome" main menu, but I don't find it there on Vivaldi.

@ryofurue For now, you can disable it at
chrome://settings
.I was told that a toggle will be added to
vivaldi://settings
in the next snapshot. -
