The following browsers are supported:MS Edge: 16+
Firefox: 54+
Chrome: 58+
Chromium: 58+
Safari: 10.1+
Opera: 44+This is what is shown when you go to curiositystream.com...someone needs to let them know that VIVALDI is the best and out performs all of the browsers they accept. Personally, I can't imagine using any of those browsers, ever again.

Another outdated browser sniffer because a inept webmaster. Change UA

@jbgreen0521 Let me test first. I am on Linux, same message.

Same Vivaldi not listed as a valid browser in this page, because a webmaster who knows only 5-6 browsers.
-
And ..... Vivaldi is blocked by its User Agent. Spoofing the UA let you in
@catweazle I believe they are blocking Vivaldi on purpose.

Google pay for it, I think.

@catweazle I believe they are blocking Vivaldi on purpose.Given human (and corporate) nature to avoid effort and costs whenever possible, I strongly doubt that. Most likely, they simply haven't bothered to verify the site against more than a couple most-popular browsers and simply block all the others... it's cheaper and avoids complaints to them of various site features not working right on untested browsers.
-
@gwen-dragon Why? He can do that using Dev Tools or
usingthe switcher. -
@lamarca It's more immediate to have an extension and save the site in its option (so they can always use the spoofed UA per site). Most users have no need/interest to use the devtool: even if it allows the UA change can't be saved and could be annoying for often visited sites.
But both ways are right -

You! try spoofing: go to the page, press F12, click on three vertical dots, on more tools, Network Conditions, unckeck "Select Automatically" and pick up any Browser.
-
@hadden89 If windows still are able to be started by command line, the switcher can also be saved. I am strong favor of performance and simplicity, respectfully.
-
@lamarca true, but launching a whole vivaldi session with spoofed UA is also wrong.
Should be used only where need.
But I hope V will be recognized from sites as chromium capable browser -- which is true and right. -
The Devs Tool is per site.

Indeed, one less Vivaldi on the Web.

This is precisely why I hate the practice of browser sniffing in order to avoid a competitor.
It is not one Vivaldi less in the network, but many that are forced to change the UA, if the webs use browser sniffing not for statistical reasons, but in a discriminatory way. This should be punished as unfair competition, apart from absolute disregard for the user.
As a user I can use a UA switcher or change the UA in Dev tools, if a page shows me that kind of meme, but I prefer to stop visiting these pages as much as possible because it not deserve any confidence -
@catweazle No need to mask Vivaldi on the websites I visit. Just for the others, and never recommend extension.
It's been done for ages.
Presto was Id as IE by default. 1% world wide is more then 30 millions users. Vivaldi has unique features, lets says a charismatic web browser. -

-
@catweazle They also don't like Vivaldi, they use means with no ethic, all is fair. I dare to say Google in new on the top due strategy - better not use adjective.

@catweazle See if you can understand.

'as palavras voam. os escritos ficam'I understand, but as a user I feel indignant and insulted by these practices and therefore I make use of my freedom of expression, I have still been soft with my words.
-
@catweazle I should learn long ago.
