Apparently, from previous forum entries, it has worked in the past.

Not for me, not now. Suggestions?
(Yes, many other video sources play OK.)

Netflix error: M7701-1003 (Missing WidevineCdm component)
      Vivaldi: 2.0.1309.37 (Stable channel) (64-bit)
      Windows Home 10, version 1803
WidevineCdm reports it is installed and up to date: Version: 4.10.1146.0

I made Vivaldi my browser of choice with version 2.0 and want badly to dump Chrome.
Only two services keep me from dumping Chrome completely, Netflix and DirecTVNow. Netflix has this M7701-1003 problem. DirecTVNow apparently has "Chrome" hardcoded as one of 2 acceptable browsers.

Thanks for any suggestions about how to get Netflix working.

Yes, thanks. You will see at the bottom of that thread I was asking for help (as politely as I could.) 🙂

@bobeaston I don't have an account at Netflix so cannot test. Have you tried disabling all extensions?

Yes. All extensions disabled. Same result.

      Thanks Fred.
Hmmmm... I'm now at 1309.42 and still seeing the problem. What should we check next?

@bobeaston You could try installing the latest Snapshot using the Standalone option. Put it in another folder, not in Program Files. The profile will be stored there and won't interfere with your Stable installation.

      Thanks for yet another suggestion.

In fact, I have snapshot 2.1.1337.35 installed on a different system, my "backup" laptop, ... and NETFLIX works OK on that system.

I'll update Vivaldi as you suggest on the system that has the problem and then start searching for differences.

      THANKS again for your help!

I find that an extension called User-Agent Switcher often helps where webpage functionality is missing or not working. This is the one I use:
