If you have Vivaldi's Tracker and Ad Blocker enabled (Settings > Privacy), you can also enable two "Remove Cookie Warnings" lists from Manage Ad Blocking Sources.

@jane-n Hey there. Wanted to ask if providing extensions support is really a cumbersome task. Though I am fully aware Vivaldi being a team of about 55-60 members making it difficult to maintain the tasks at hand while adding a complete new groundbreaking feature which tech giant backed up Edge itself hasn't been able to implement. But all that makes me even more baffled how a browser maintained by a small group of people taking Kiwi Browser into account here was able to pull that off (though I ain't sure about the size of the development team of Kiwi since not much data is available about them on the surface web atleast)

Keeping up with the Chromium updates is a challenge on its own. After some updates it takes a day or so to sort out the changes, after other updates it can take weeks. Then there's the usual feature development and bug fixes.
Adding support to extensions would introduce another extremely unpredictable component to the mix.

I have migrated from Firefox for Android 68 (that no longer supports add-ons) to Kiwi Browser on December 2021.
Now 6 months later, the 2 extensions I need, Violentmonkey and Stylus, still run flawlessly, with all my user scripts and user styles!

It might not worth the effort to develop extension support back to Firefox and new to Vivaldi.

I guess, people interested in extensions on mobile should just use Kiwi, where all the effort should be focused.

@ibay770 It's even far from being the only downside, it also lacks sync with Vivaldi Desktop and many other cool things I regret. 🙂

But I don't need video download (and I use NewPipe that incidentally can do that) but I need user scripts on mobile, above all the rest.

I'd have to think about paying to be able to utilize extensions on the android mobile version of vivaldi. Especially right now with the economy the way it currently is.

      Hi,
I'm currently using my android phone to type this reply, I'm frustrated that there isn't any kind of setting / option to prevent videos from playing automatically like there is in the windows desktop version of the browser. 🙁

has using Firefox engine been considered at any point? considering Google awful track record and now it seems keeping up with chrome breaking things?

as for the issue at hand - having extensions would be awesome! I need leechblock 😉

It was considered at length before Vivaldi went into development.

I use Vivaldi on my desktop, but as I'm a crypto user I need TronLink and MetaMask, both are extensions. So I'm forced to use Kiwi browser on my phone, just because of this. Would love to use Vivaldi on both my desktop and phone.

We have discussed this recently, and unfortunately, adding support for extensions in the mobile version doesn't seem feasible. For now, I'm marking this request as "Will not do". I understand that this is currently the top request (for all platforms), so I'm not closing the topic, but I wanted to let you know that it cannot be implemented - at least not in the foreseeable future.

We might take a look at the UserScript/User Javascript/Greasemonkey support somewhere along the road, though. It might help in some cases where extensions are used.

      Hi team,

Why don't you partner with ublock origin to integrate the extension in the browser like abp in edge or brave using most of ublock features

@SheikhAzharuddin There is already a basic adblocker that supports most adblock style lists.

There are separate requests for other parts of ublock origin features:
