Should the cross button be an unfocus button instead of full erasing button ?
-
@seasonly I am unsure what you mean by "unfocus."
What I think it should do is clear only the shortcut that is selected, instead of clearing all of them. The tooltip says "Clear Shortcut," not "Clear Shortcuts."
If the text cursor is as in your screenshot, then the current action is correct, i.e. it should clear all.

@pesala In the current solution, it's difficult to unactive the key assignment and the cross let you more think to unactive key listening than to erase the keys already defined.

The "X" completely clears ALL shortcuts in the box, to delete only the highlighted one press backspace. Yeah, not intuitive and the tooltip is actually misleading.

Thanks for this advice, it would be useful, once again it's not obvious.
But I should be more precise thinking about these both cases :
- The field is empty, but I don't want this one to have shortcut, I decide to stop the key assignment
- The field contains some shortcuts but I decide these are good, no needs more, I want to stop the key assignment
How do I tell the program that the key listening is over ? Using escape key ?
In first case, the cross button freeing the field could do this function, even that we don't really to clean an empty field. Indeed the cross erases all shortcuts but also unfocus the field so far any more pressed key would be saved as shortcut.
In the second case, this is a trouble. You can't unactive key assignment and you can't use the cross button since you don't want it to erase the shortcut that you've just enter !Considering this nearly as a bug, that's why it would be necessary to use a special button to erase all the field and keep the cross only to unactive focus assignment.

This issue is fixed in recent Snapshots. The delete button does what it says, clears only the selected shortcut.
Specs: AMD A10-6800K, 8 Gb on Win 10 64-bit build 17763.194 • Snapshot 2.3.1401.7 (64-bit)
