Extensions page is too vague for ease of use

    1. Enabled extensions need highlight background color for easy recognition & readability. Currently it's too hard to identify activated extensions, we should be able to identify 'em in a single glimpse.

    2. "Option" button should be on extension card, if available. Currently it's unclear on plain view, hidden & difficult to access.

    3. Buttons (Option, Details, Remove, On/Off) should be next to Extension's icon, on top section of each card. Currently, my eye flow is constantly disrupted by wall of text when trying to find useful stuff (buttons) on each card.

    4. Description should be hidden, Title is sufficient to inform user about the extension. Currently, there are not enough space within the card to display enough description info, what user see is: icon > title > useless description > most useful stuff. This is bad eye flow design, because user should see icon > most useful stuff > less important stuff.

    5. Pure white background color should be forbidden from all GUI, it's bad for eyesight & consume most batteries energy. Please consider replace all white background with eye protect colors like warm grayish color.

    Thanks.

    I agree with points 1 & 2.

For point 3, I don't mind the On/Off button being at the bottom - that puts it next to the other butons which makes sense to me.

For point 4, I like having the description there. In fact, I would go so far as to say that all of the information hidden away on the full page should be accessible from the overview.

For point 5, I have a few issues:

PURE WHITE background color should be forbidden from all GUI. it's bad for eyesight

I agree with the point about eyesight, but if a user is determined to set it in their theme settings, they should be allowed to. I definitely think that the internal pages should follow the vivaldi theme (rather than chrome's design), that way users can choose their own colours, and if they want PURE WHITE, then they can do that.

Caps Lock should be forbidden from all forum posts. (~_~).

I don't think it is necessary to impose off-white backgrounds on all users. Black text on white is the best for contrast. Users can reduce the brightness of their monitors to reduce glare and use the System settings to set night-time colours to be softer.

Then they probably shouldn't settle for the name card layout design, cuz it's too crowded to fit wall of text into tiny card. Maybe, provide a toggle to hide the description, or optional minimalist design. That should keep everyone happy.

or any portable device on the go. ;P

    @Pesala

Black text on white is the best for contrast.

Actually, it's black text with white paper background color is best for on screen readability. The "white" is not pure white (#FFFFFF), it's actually slightly tinted to emulate white paper in real life, example: beige & honeydew colors are better choice then pure white onscreen cuz they don't straining your eyes. These colors will appear "white" to your eyes while reading during night time, or in the dark.

Users can reduce the brightness of their monitors to reduce glare and use the System settings to set night-time colours to be softer.

The problem is bad color choice. Most designer know pure white background color is a taboo for screen display, it's like abundance of red text over black background, or blue text over pink background will cause headache to most reader. Thus, pure white background should be use sparingly, limited to only small area. If you pay attention to the current Extension page, pure white color cover over 90% of the screen!

Caps Lock should be forbidden from all forum posts. (~_~).

Nothing wrong with emphasize a word/phrase with caps, just don't do it with an entire paragraph or sentence.

Bold is for emphasis. All Caps is worse for readability than Mixed Case Text. Ideally, it should be reserved for acronyms like PDF, GUI, or OLED. It is very often mistaken for shouting, which does not help effective communication.
