Touch Screen Support for Speed Dial
-
It should work like icons in phones
For example, when I drag a speed dial without a long hold, the speed dial's position moves, but I only want to scroll down, this cause a lot of mistakes
Should be an easy fix

@wolvenstorm Locking Speed Dial Entries would be another way to solve this problem.

@pesala
can't find Preferences Editor
where is it?
i already tried to google :vivaldi Preferences Editor,still cant find it -
@wolvenstorm There is no Preferences Editor per se. There is the Settings page, which you access at Menu/tools/settings or by clicking the little gear at the bottom of the side panel, or by going to vivaldi://settings. And aside from that, there are flags, which one can find at vivaldi://flags.
pesala's link to "Locking Speed Dial Entries" is of course a link to a feature request. There is currently no way to lock speed dial entries - hence the feature request.
And writing the code so that Vivaldi can properly interact with touch screens is one of the most difficult and fraught efforts that the development team has underway. The code that Chrome/Chromium uses for this is incompatible with Vivaldi's UI.

@wolvenstorm Locking speed dial is now possible.
Settings, Start Page, Speed Dial, and disable “Allow Drag and Drop Reordering.”

@Pesala
just tested with my tablet
if my finger is draging the thumbnail,it will not scroll down.
but if my finger is draging the background,it works.it is a small improvement.
but Speed Dial is still far from useable
for example i want show url and title at the same time,or at least url only.unless thumbnail can be auto generated or synced.i wish Speed Dial can look like this

@Gwen-Dragon
the scrolling problem can't be solved by a missing feature.
the scrolling problem is related to "Allow Drag and Drop Reordering",because this option is supposed to fix scrolling,but only fixed half problem.this option is for touch screen user right?if i am using a mouse,i don't need to care about if i want to disable Drag and Drop Reordering.maybe microsoft will fix this touch problem for Chromium soon.
but meanwhile i can use Speed Dial[FVD] extension,it works fine with touch screen,but i have to use vivaldi's build in speed dial in my tablet to save ram(only 4 gb ram).i think many people already mentioned similar feature request.

@wolvenstorm Thanks for reporting your issue. We could reproduce it internally and hopefully one of the dev will be able to fix it soon. As mentioned in my email, it might take a while though as our pipeline of fixes is quite big. Thanks in advance for being patient with us.
