Shift+Click to Open a New Tab in Search Bar

  • Hi
Here I use the "Shift + Click" to open the links in another tab. And it works normally.

In the Search bar when it is empty, I select the search engine, type the text and "shift + enter". Works as expected, opens the search on another page.

But if I first type the text in the search bar, then choose the search engine and hit "Shift + Click". the page opens on the same tab.

Could you implement the 'open in another tab' function by pressing 'Shift + Click' in the search engines drop-down menu?

  • @mrkalvin If you type the text first, then select the search engine, you don't have to press anything. The search immediately opens in the current tab.

  • Yes, just this, it only works "click" on the search engine (open in same tab).

I wish there was a "Shift + click" on the search engine icon. to open 'the search' on another tab.

I do not know if this is feasible to do in the programming code.

    thanks.
