Just installed TP on Mageia 4.x
-
Just replaced a previous TP with TP3 on my main Linux box (64bit) and I must say Vivaldi is working very well, very smooth. I would (personally) like to see a few things, however: 1: Better integration with my desktop colour scheme, something always possible with old versions of coughOperacouchcough*. I prefer a dark desktop, personally. 2: The other most desirable feature of an older version of coughOperacouchcough*, the built-in web server. Any chance of something like this? The last version of Opera available under Mageia is 12.something, it would be nice to see it replaced with something like Vivaldi and updated regularly. Still exploring, looks good. Top marks to Jon and the team. Please keep up the good work.

Just to add that I have been installing some of the available apps and although the list is short, they do seem to be well-chosen for this stage in the project. Again, good job. :cheer:

Your first post, so welcome!
Have you looked into the recently introduced native desktop mode? (e.g., 1.0.161.2 native windows and Desktop environents's window frame in the Linux forum, or Native Window Mode and native Window glitches in the Windows forum)
From what others have reported, I don't think all the bugs are worked out yet, but it seems to be working pretty well for most (although as many as 3-4 Vivaldi restarts are sometimes necessary for some reason).

It would also be nice to alter the appearance of pages to better suit my dark desktop. Any ideas how I could go about this?
I just took a look at the common.css file but it looks rather a compact piece of coding. How would I go about customising this?
