Remove Trash from Bookmarks Panel
-
I don't want to see the Trash bin in my bookmarks panel.
-
@zook Without it, how would you recover bookmarks that have been deleted accidentally?
-
I would just recreate them manually, I don't tend to accidentally delete them. But it could be in a context menu.
-
No way. That trash can has saved undoubtedly save many a butt.
-
Maybe the best option is a context menu to hide/unhide it. When done restoring what had to be restored, hide it again. Like the "+" on the speed dial can be hidden, or the overlay buttons to refresh/delete the thumbs, there's an alternative way to do that once they're hidden.
-
@ian-coog Not too thrilled about your idea. The trash can is fairly tiny. Nothing really worth hiding/unhiding.
-
@para-noid I'm not telling that I want to hide the trashcan too, but the more customizable Vivaldi becomes, the more people are happy with it.
-
I don't mind seeing the Trash bin but for me it would be nice if searching in bookmarks would not necessarily include the trash bin.
I tend to keep deleted bookmarks in the trash (sort of uncritical archiving) and I'm often tricked by the search results. -
I realize that this is an old thread, but did anyone make any progress on this? I tried to inspect, but the trash bin doesn't seem to be a CSS-element, so I guess it requires a code change?
