Vivaldi and Chrome Web Store
Hi. I need ask - how use CWS in Vivaldi? I use now Vivaldi TP3. And want install some addons from CHW. On download page I see info about using CWS but don't work for me. Storesay - install Chrome.
Only a few extensions work - the ones that don't require buttons or UI feedback.
You should be able to simply go to the Chrome Store, find an extension you want, and click the "add to chrome" button.
Then if its working but needs settings help, you can go to the vivaldi://extensions page and make settings there.Reply Quote 0 1 Reply Last reply

Your first post, so welcome! :)
As Ayespy indicated, extensions are not yet fully supported in Vivaldi, especially those that need a button on the Tool Bar for controls, but many extensions will work and can be managed from vivaldi://chrome/extensions.
But you're saying CWS says to install Chrome. I haven't seen that in Vivaldi, but often CWS does not initially display the "Add to Chrome" button when you visit CWS in Vivaldi.
If you don't see the "Add to Chrome" button for any extensions in the Chrome Web Store, visit the store from the icon in the lower right corner of the vivaldi://apps page. After that the "Add to Chrome" button should be visible regardless of your path to the store in future visits (and you use the same button it to add to Vivaldi).
Restart Vivaldi and it should work,
