Vivaldi can't recognize pepperflash plugin (TP3)

  • Hello. I have a very strange problem. I have installed pepperflash plugin, entered sudo update-pepperflashplugin-nonfree --install command and my Vivaldi still can't recognize it, but it works OK for Chromium. I tried to delete vivaldi config folders, but it didn't work for me. As I know, it's impossible to enter a path for the plugin in Vivaldi at the moment, so what should I do? I'm using Ubuntu 15.04. Thanks!

  • Hi, you can start Vivaldi with a path, on my system:

    /usr/bin/vivaldi-snapshot –ppapi-flash-path=/opt/google/chrome-beta/PepperFlash/ %U

    Change path for your system.
Iirc this was fixed a long time ago.

    Cheers, mib

  • Yes, it worked, thank you! The problem was with unity dash. It hadn't updated a shortcut after several updates for Vivaldi, so I had to manually edit it at ~/.local/share/applications. The default command /usr/bin/vivaldi-snapshot works as well, so the only problem was with the Unity Dash.
