Empty query when going back to search results page.
-
I asked this question on the Local Forum but got no aswer so asking here.
I don't know about Google and other search engines, but with my default Yandex, if I open a search result in the same tab (right click - open link), and then press the back button, sometimes I am back to the search results as it should be, and sometimes I have an empty search field and a message that can be translated as "empty query".Same thing happens if I want to open a search results page from History. I can't reproduce it, but it happens a few times a day. Any ideas what it could be?

@svguss It [[might]] be the lack of referral - the website wants to know where you came from. Fortunately I found a Russian Page (in Cyrillic) with more details.

Thanks! I read the link but it's kind of Greek to me - well, Cyrillic - by the site you mean Yandex, the search engine? So I just have to login to Yandex account to make the problem go away?
But then why does it happen only from time to time? When I return back to search results from the same site, it can be OK and it can be empty query. Weird... -
@svguss Aren't you Russian?

I am, what's Greek to me in the link you posted is this :
"Referral - participant of a partner program, registered on the recommendation of another participant. This scheme of marketing is widely distributed on the Internet and involves registration on websites providing certain services. In this case, the recommendation is accompanied by a "referral link" containing information about the account of the participant who will receive a reward for attracting newcomers. A recruiting participant is taken by analogy to refer to as "referrer".
I really have no clue who is who in this scheme and what all this is about Sorry.

@svguss Some websites register the site that referred you to them. - where you were before came here -
This info can be used in different ways. Some sites depends on referring to let you in.
The referrer information is quite old, it's new for the marketing.Comrade, hope I helped you.
Cheers from Rio
