Thanks Devs, this is a lovely new Snapshot.
Bonus: Now the Qwant suggestions in the Search field work for me; they didn't in previous SS.
-
@steffie: Since 1.16.1221.3 I believed,is recent snapshots. Virgin profile?? You meant cleaning out my settings?? I am not going to do that because this is my workstation,too much hassle. Anyway,I will stick to stable version when it come out this time. Thanks for reply,though.

@ryanchuang To get a clean profile, you can merely (with Vivaldi closed) rename your "Default" folder. If that does not resolve the problem, then all you need to do is rename it back.
Your Default folder is located at the path specified in Help/About/Profile Path.

@rogerwilco said in List layout for visual tab cycler – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 1.16.1246.7:
And already do I have the first question regarding the behavior to be expected once releasing the right mouse button:
- should I expect the browser to open the according tab where I "came to a stop" and released the right mouse button
This is bug, reported under VB-41399
-
I think you are right, but I don't think it's any one extension.
I disabled all 6 of mine, reloaded the browser, opened DevTools and no crash.
Then I re-enabled each individual extension to see which one was causing the problem, none of them on their own did.
Lastly I would re-enable one additional extension, restart the browser and test DevTools. I didn't get any crashes until I reached 5 loaded extensions, then instant crash when closing DevTools.

@ayespy: Ok,I did that. A virgin profile proceeded,yet within a minute,when I do the close-tab gesture,it 'accidentally" closed the whole browser,so...............
-
@ryanchuang How many tabs did you have open? Is "close with last tab"disabled? I cannot reproduce this behavior.
-
@ryanchuang Is this setting enabled?
As a side-note: I have this setting enabled, but if I move the last tab to an existing Window, the current Window closes. Is this expected or not?
-
I'm having problem with the download tab in both mac and windows 10. The tab doesn't show the current download
-
@pesala: You're right; I could've indicated that I "expected" a somewhat similar behavior to what I know from the Presto Opera times. Thanks for clarifying.
-
@cheve11e_191: Thank you for the information.
-
@pesala: > and in Vivaldi it does sometimes
:)))) Exactly!
-
Good Job!! Thanks a lot!!
-
@floweringmind:
This is so frustrating -
@Ayespy:just one tab. Yes,I have that option enable.
@pesala: Yes. No,when I have that option enable,it just opened the Start page,not closed.I should be clarify,it wasn't purely a close-tab gesture,it was like dragging some elements on the page (withich quite similar to close-tab gesture),then the whole browser closed,sometimes reloaded again. I think I have mentioned this bug at previous snapshots that someone explained to me what's the issue. However,it was fixed awhile,then this bug cam back again. Quite annoying.

@sjudenim:
Thank you for trying.
I hope someone at Vivaldi is reading this. -
@luetage Definitely not a fan of the change to the floating panel. Having to click every time to have it close is frustrating.
-
@recnamoruen Both variants have pros and cons, would be best to be able to set this freely, or with a button in UI. You can always use a custom modification for the time being, users have been running floating panels for a very long time.

@giuseppe: Same problem here. Vivaldi x64 Win 10.
