Export Bookmarks from Bookmarks Manager
-
As of now, when you click on V icon (top-left) Import and Export bookmarks is under "File". It would be a nice little change to have it under "Bookmarks" menu, for cohesion.
This is the same for "Export bookmarks" button missing from the "Manage Bookmarks" page. If there is an "Import" button, there should be an "Export" one next to it.
It might be a bit silly but I think it's an easy good and comfortable QoL.
Also it will help new users of Vivaldi to find those things easily. -
@latisullivan Changing default menus must have a very strong case to support it as old users have already learnt where it is. It is better to Allow the Editing of Menus, then every user can redesign their menus to suit their own workflow.
The Bookmarks Menu was added later than Import/Export bookmarks.
The request to Export Bookmarks from the Bookmarks Manager is not present yet, so I changed your thread title to that.
Only one feature request should be made in each thread, so others can know what they are voting for.

@pesala Oh, thank you very much. And I apologize. I read that rule, but was thinking "feature regarding bookmarks" as a whole, instead of separately. Cheers!
-
The export option should also be available from the Bookmarks Panel.
-
Hopefully this feature gets added sooner than later, possibly along with the ability to export selected bookmarks.
-
Yeah. Initially I was sure Vivaldi can't export bookmarks. "What's the hell?" I thought. Then I discovered that this option is actually exist, but hidden.
-
You can export and import bookmarks from the File menu.
-
@latisullivan Recent Snapshots have added the ability to edit the menus, so you can now move the Export Bookmarks item to the Bookmarks Menu.
-
@Pesala Thanks. How do you do it?
-
@XyZed Install the latest Snapshot.
Install the Snapshot as a Standalone Version so that it does not interfere with your settings for the Stable release.
Go to Settings, Appearance, Menu Customization and drag the command to wherever you want.

In the "bookmarks" editor, we have an "import" button. To complement this, please also add an "export" button and an "export selection" button. This will make it easy and convenient to share bookmark collections between users.
