Inbox.google.com telling me my browser is not supported.
Got an invite to Google Inbox, going to the website (after activating) I am greeted with the following message: Oops, your browser is not yet supported. Inbox works best on Chrome, Firefox, or Safari. More browsers coming soon. DOWNLOAD GOOGLE CHROMEDOWNLOAD FIREFOXDOWNLOAD SAFARI Apparently Google is filtering out Vivaldi already
That's not really how it works. Sites sniff for browser user agents they recognize. If they don't recognize them, you get "yer stupid old browser won't work here" messages.
Ever since the bad old days of "this site works best in IE6" I have absolutely hated this bad practice of web designers.
It's fair enough to give me a warning if you don't know if my browser will work with your site but FFS just let me in anyway if I want in!!!
The user agent string of Vivaldi is almost the same as Chrome, it even has Chrome in it.

(Extensions are not fully supported yet in Vivaldi, especially those that need a button on the Tool Bar for controls, but many extensions will work and can be managed from vivaldi://chrome/extensions. If you don't see the "Add to Chrome" button for any extensions in the Chrome Web Store, visit the store from the icon in the lower right corner of the vivaldi://apps page, and after that the button should be visible regardless of your path to the store in future visits.)
