Cookies deleted when closing browser?
-
Hi there,
I noticed all my cookies are deleted when I restart Vivaldi browser. Is there an option to keep these cookies from being deleted whenever the browser is closed or restarted?
-
If you go to
Settings/Privacy/Accept cookies
and tickAll
, does it solve the problem? -
Looks like the option "Session Only" is checked.
-
Sorry I should have mentioned this on my original post:
-Accept cookies "all" is checked.
-Block Third-Party cookies is unchecked. -

I understand it's not suppose to, but in my case, it does. Each restart, all the cookies are deleted.

@fb23aa Do you use any clean-up app on your system like Ccleaner?

@fb23aa In case you are able to reproduce the issue, report a bug. You'll get a number VB-99999, please, post the bug number here.
I can certainly reproduce the issue, it's happening each time I close the browser..
I've reported the bug: VB-41087 -
@fb23aa Good one, we will follow up.

@fb23aa You are welcome.

@fb23aa sorry for this real annoying issue, the team couldn't reproduce your issue unfortunately.
One way to get around it is actually to rename your profile folder so that you start fresh with a new profile next time you start Vivaldi. This should help you to get around this issue.
Does it help? -
@fb23aa Same problem here. My cookies are set to accept all including 3rd party. My session cookies vanish regularly, not on all sites however. More regularly on a handful of sites and I can't see any obvious difference between them. I have 1.15.1147.47 (Stable channel) (64-bit), not a clean install though. It's been upgraded from version to version as the updates come out, so perhaps it might be good to try to recreate the issue on a 1.15.1147.47 that was upgraded from say v 1.1 rather than a fresh 1.15.1147.47 install?

BTW when I say "not a clean install" I meant not a fresh 1.15.1147.47 install.

@fb23aa It is "Profile Path" shown by Menu/Help/About
-

@gaelle That did the trick. Thank you!
