Vivaldi benchmark they need to beat
-
First I realize that Vivaldi is in its infancy so that said while getting rather frustrated with its slow and fussy performance I looked at some other browsers to compare and hit on the one that stands out in all areas especially speed of which it is much much faster, from startup to page builds it is in a league of its own, nothing comes close and that is the latest Chromium Developer build.....THAT is the one to beat, so will be interesting to watch Vivaldi mature......remember, not slamming Vivaldi but just saying there is a clear target to aim for.

…latest Chromium Developer build...
A link would be helpful.
As only an occasional default current Chrome user, I'm guessing you mean one of these Chrome Release Channels (probably the relevant OS Dev Channel). Since you're posting in the Vivaldi for Windows forum, you probably mean the Win32 or Win64 Dev Channel, but you might mean Win32 Canary or Win64 Canary. (?)
It would be helpful if you could be more specific so we would know what you've been comparing and where to find it.

As groingo wrote "Chromium", I think he means this one:

As groingo wrote "Chromium", I think he means this one:
http://chromium.woolyss.com/You could be right… ...but see the following quote from that page "Obviously, you know that this site is not the Chromium official website".
…And I don't see any Developer builds there, so I think it's more likely The Chromium Projects where the Chrome Release Channels are all listed, including the current stable releases.

You can use any of the Chromium builds, I started with the Developer but found the Chromium itself to be less buggy.

Hello guys,
I am the chromium.woolyss.com administrator.Like I said on my site:
[ul]
- The official website is development oriented. Users are invited to download Google Chrome
- The official download page gives to users only Nightly builds (using the official Snapshots repository)
- My site give to users the best builds (using the official Continuous repository)
[/ul]
- Snapshots: Untested and may be unstable versions (known as Nightly builds). Official download page!!!
- Continuous: Tested and more stable versions (known as LKGR builds). Also used by Google Chrome channels: Canary, Dev, Beta and Stable… and Yandex browser, Opera browser, Vivaldi browser…
My site uses only the official Continuous repository.
It means these Chromium builds are more stable… than builds from the official download page! ^^This is the main reason why I created my site.
It contains absolutely no ads, no tracking tools and other bad things.Hope it is clearer for you!
Regards
