Cursor missing on new tab, doesnt default to address bar
This has happened only of late, maybe since a few days. Latest browser version (auto updates)
I am used to rapidly typing away a search or a location when I Ctrl+T assuming the cursor is at location bar; its totally missing.
Disabled start.me and it still happens.
Chrome works fine in both modes (with start.me and w/out)
please check this:
Alt+P -> Tabs -> Tabs Handling [x] Focus Page Content on New Tab
@gwen-dragon Hahaha...of course it was that ! I could not figure out what that setting was for the other day; so checked it out of curiosity (what is it for anyway)
(on the same lines balloon hint on every setting will help us hapless :)
@rojaviv What? Like this?
@pesala Yeah, like who would want that setting at all ? Just curious!
@pesala And how on earth is yours a radio and mine a cbox ??
@pesala Oh you meant the balloon tip - yes, I missed that - some settings dont have it
@rojaviv Because the corner rounding on my theme is set to the maximum. I just submitted a bug report for this.
(VB-40243) Check-boxes in Settings Look Like Radio Buttons if Corner Rounding is High
Long ago I submitted a similar report for the fact that the corner rounding is not respected in Tabs. It is nowhere near to 14 pixels. I don't have the bug number for this one. The corner rounding of tabs is about 6 pixels, while that of Speed Dial Thumbnails is about 10 pixels. Both should be 14 pixels.
Yeah, like who would want that setting at all
Some users may like to navigate with the keyboard. Focusing on the Speed Dial tab allow the selection of speed dials with the cursor keys, and opening them with Enter. Speaking for myself, I am more likely to reuse the current tab and use GestureLeft to return to the current tab when I am done than to open a new tab just to search for something. Quick Commands can be set to open a new tab by default.
