Webmail and Sync Log-in Fails
Anyone else having trouble logging in to Webmail and/or Sync?
@pesala Nope, both up for me.
If I try to log-in, the Log-in fails.
If I try to rest my password when I log in to https://mail.vivaldi.net/webmail/ I get this message:
An error has occurred
User not found or account has been locked.
I type "Pesala" as my username.
I filled in a contact form.
I am now able to login to Webmail using my original password.
I thought that to log in to Sync that one had to use one's Windows log on password. That failed, and too many attempts got my account locked.
I was able to log in to Sync using my Webmail password, and then my encryption password, which is different.
So all is well again, but there seems to have been a change to how Sync login works!?
@pesala Sync has always used the Vivaldi (account) password. I don't think it would make sense to use the windows/root password for a Vivaldi functionality.
@pesala Perhaps you are confusing sync and passwords. If you try to view passwords @ chrome://settings/passwords, it now asks for your windows password.Reply Quote 0 1 Reply Last reply
