And now up to the next level and allow stuff like the modified (aka CSS hacked) version I made for myself, but without hacking:
Of course this would work with patterns too, but I liked the image
(Had to obfuscate something - we don't want to leak what's up next, don't we? )

Thanks for sharing back the patterns. I lost the original while trying some of my own.

@luetage The original pattern is placed in <Vivaldi Install Location>\Application\1.15.1147.36\resources\vivaldi\resources\sayagata.png
@quhno: We may or may not be working on something very close to this
@cheve11e_191: You are very welcome!

I like the visual style of the examples.
Sadly the effect is currently only for the tab background. In tab-left/right mode it's not as nice, but ok:
As wish for future updates: Could you add an option to apply a (separate) background-image for top bar, please?
In my example it could be the red area with menu, buttons and addressbar.
@quhno: Please the complete code

My top bars for 1920x1080:
Settings: Scale to fit, uncheck Blend Window...
Animated background for Start Page:
@vaviaxul: To have tabs on left/right side of the screen is a bad idea. It would be needed to rotate the tab 90 degrees ...

@gregor: Thank you! The last bar with stars is amazing!

- Think also about users with dark themes, please

I rather liked the Triangles pattern, however it was a bit too light for my dark blue theme, so I played around with it in GIMP a bit and ended up with this:
