Spotify - playlist Mahavishnu Orchestra/John McLaughlin. Sometimes you forget how innovative music was back in the early 70s. Glad I grew up listening to this rather than the rubbish that's ruling the airwaves nowadays....

@Ryszard Yes, that's him. Been with a whole host of jazz/fusion bands. He's 82 now and largely retired, but my word he's been a massive influence on some fine musicians. His Wiki page makes interesting reading.....
