What are you listening to right now?
-
@hlehyaric Me either to be honest.
-
@ornorm Your post is far better than Kimera [but less fun :)].
Reminder: Kimera - The lost opera
-
@hlehyaric What the bleep is that?
I didn't know it. Thanks for the reminder...
I love the culture of kitsch. -
@ornorm OMG, you didn't know? Where were you in the '80's? [Plus kitsch, tu meurs :)]
(Actually, «how old were you» seems more relevant)
-
@hlehyaric I'm 41. I was maybe too young and I wasn't allowed to watch to the television so often at the time (which was good because I'm not sure I missed anything )
-
@ornorm Unfortunately, you were too young in the mid '80's to really appreciate this true wonder
-
-
@hlehyaric Oh yes! I regret I didn't because it is a true wonder indeed.
If you have other pépites, be my guest. -
-
-
@ornorm Ne tentez pas le diable
-
@hlehyaric Thanks for that one. Beautiful (and I'm only at the 4th minute of the track)!
-
@ornorm Samuel Barber - String quartet, op 11 (Quatuor Diotima)
The adagio is very famous, 'cause it's transcribed and played by (string) orchestras, but you should listen to the full string quartet, it's really worth it.
-
@hlehyaric Thanks again. I feel more beautiful inside now.
-
@ornorm said in What are you listening to right now?:
This is just great. I guess you know it is used in the award winning movie Platoon.
-
@kahukura Oh yes! I discovered it thanks to Platoon.
-
You want some pépites, here's one (I'm sorry, I didn't find some kind of videoclip). Enjoy
(To be honest, I quite enjoy the song, it brings back some fun and happy memories)
-
@hlehyaric The first notes announce something huge
-
@ornorm The lyrics are true poetry
-
@hlehyaric Oh yes! I'm pretty sure the guy is a misunderstood genius.
I think there is a hidden meaning to the song that we are too dumb to understand.
