Upgrading issue
-
Hi guys...
I'm having an issue upgrading for the last release 1.14.1077.60.
I'm using the version 1.14.1077.55. Don't know if is there any version in between, because I got already this problem before.
Here is a snapshot of the message while upgrading or installingMaybe if I uninstall the software and reinstall it. The problem is that I can't loose my bookmarks and "speed dials" pages and folders. The organizing capabilities of the Vivaldi are fantastic and I relying on them to keep my saves on trails. Therefore, if the uninstall processes will remove my configurations, I can't do it.
I've already disabled my antivirus and internet security, and the problem persists.
Can anyone help on this?
I'm working on a Windows 10 64bits DELL machine.Thanks for your suppport.

Are you installing to %LOCALAPPDATA% (the default on windows) - if so, try reinstalling and select System Install to %PROGRAMFILES% in the installer. That will need admin permission to complete, but I've found that fixes the problem.
Alternatively, have a look in the task manager to see if there are any extensions running a vivaldi.exe in the background.
You can also try restarting windows to see if that fixes it.
An uninstall will keep your profile safe, but if you want to be super-sure, or just make a backup, copy/zip up the folder at %LOCALAPPDATA%\Vivaldi\User Data.
