Continuing work on mouse gestures – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 1.15.1132.3
-
Should we re-report unsolved issues from the last snapshot again, or are you tracking them internally?
-
@sojiro84: The issue is with the popups that ask you to save new sites. Buttons in those are not clickable. All the rest works.
-
Sigh, Snapshot continues to struggle with Gestures, since the last big chromium update. Today V has crashed twice on me during my Close Tab gesture.
-
@steffie Yes. since the intake of Chromium 65, gestures are once again a work in progress...
-
@ayespy Y'know, our kindly V Devs truly must be modern-day Sisyphus' all. Damn chromium boulders!
-
@steffie 3rd crash now, again using Close Tab gesture. I suppose it's time i revert to closing tabs the non-gesture way. Rats.
-
I still can't seem to be able to interact with iframes properly - I can right click on one and the appropriate context menu will show up and work properly, but left clicking directly on the frame does nothing.

With these recent snapshots I have problems when Vivaldi's window changes DPI (I have two monitors with different DPI settings, and dragging Vivaldi from one monitor to the other triggers the problem).
When DPI changes, scrolling and clicking links only work sporadically (resizing the window in any direction usually helps until I switch to another program and back), although right-click menu works fine. The issue only affects tabs that were open during the DPI change - if I open a new tab, it works fine (reloading existing tabs doesn't change anything).
And I just noticed another unrelated problem: if Vivaldi's window takes full screen height, and there's exactly enough tabs open that the Window menu fills the screen (but doesn't need to scroll), clicking the Window menu will immediately activate the Go Fullscreen option.

I haven't updated since SS 1.15.1111.3 and from what it looks like I'll stay with this version for quite a while. It has no real showstoppers for most of my tasks. Just as a hint for anyone having trouble with the latest SSs who want to get work done.

@fendar Generally you shouldn't be on snapshot then, stable is the way to go if you want stability.
