Nicely written. To be honest I was waiting for your Teamblog post since a while ^^.
You've a very interesting vita.
Regarding the number of women in technical jobs in germany - as you said this is changing but still too slow in my opinion.
For example we were a little less than 200 students for automotive engineering (back in 2009) and only 5 of them were women. And my guess is that this is not completely because guys have a higher interest in cars but also because women who would have a lot of fun studying and working in this and similar themed fields just don't trust themselves enough to try it.
Hope this changes in the future a bit more rapid. -
Very nice, thank you!

The most funny thing for me is always, seeing faces of people which you know for a long time just from reading threads in a forum or making phone calls or whatever.
Funny because, you (or at least me) are building up an image of the person in your head. And sometimes this picture fits, but most of the time you are totally wrong with it.
So it is always fun to see the a photo or meet the person in real life.
And I can only support the statement of @zaibon, that it is a interesting vita.
But for me the most important sentence in the article is: "I am interested in defending freedom of Democracy, the Internet and Civil Rights.β A thing that everybody should be interested in. -
"I am interested in defending freedom of Democracy, the Internet and Civil Rights.β A thing that everybody should be interested in.
... and sadly way too less people really are

Fabulous, lovely to read your back-story Lilo, it made me feel happy. Also i smiled when i discovered, if i can take your chronological words from above literally & arithmetically, that for all your occasional forum posts mentioning that you're an old lady, in fact i am a year older than you. So you can't grumble about that anymore, teehee.

You will never know how old i really am. I am verrry ooold fire drrragon and my human appearance is only to reduce the fear of all princesses i met over the centuries.

Impressive collaboration, Gwen!
As a close friend of WiT and as an enthusiast of the subject myself, your words of wisdom make resonance in general but even more in this branch. Thanks a lot -
Lilo never gives up until she finds out the what's causing issue. That's quite admirable.

Shouldn't that be "Brilliant!"

I am a man, a technical Genius -- I broke my first additional phone memory putting it in the phone.

@tbgbe I would like to remark that your witty retort is most apt, but given these days i use Manjaro [Arch-based] & no longer any Deb-based distro, i suppose as a purist i should instead say that your witty retort is most pacman. I fear though that something important might be then lost in translation [Bill or Scarlett?].

It's a honour to have Gwen as Vivaldi teammate.

Wow! She's a real Valkyrie!

@Gwen-Dragon What a touching history. Interesting that the same kind of gender bias was seen in West Germany as what we still see in Japan, and so to me, the most impressive thing is that Germany did manage to change. Gives me great hope for future progress in Japan as well. Thank you, for sharing the story and for bravely being a precious female role model in tech.
