Option to Open Links in New Tab by Default
rafiki last edited by Pesala
I would like to have the option to open a clicked link in a new tab (and which takes focus) by default. It's how I have always operated in other browsers and I miss it.

@rafiki I cannot understand why this option is not available.
@dhoun Because the browser is not completed.

I just click with the mouse wheel (middle click) to open in a new tab. But it would certainly be nice to have this option to open all links in new tabs.

This would be cool and I would certainly use it. The tab should be selected from any Window open with Vivaldi. For example. I would like to browse a site in one monitor but open the links in another monitor. That way I don't have to keep switching tabs, and I can see the results as I click.

- Shift+Click on a link to open it in a new foreground tab.
- Define a mouse gesture. I use GestureUp,GestureRight, which I find easy to remember even though I rarely use it (I prefer the keyboard shortcut)
@dhoun This is just one of over 860 feature requests. Though it may seem important to those who are used to it from Firefox, there are easy workarounds.
The small team from Vivaldi has to fix bugs and regressions too, so only a handful of new features can be implemented each month.
