Option to Increase Height of Tab-stacking Indicator
-
Default height indicator of stacked tabs is too small.
An option to use a taller indicator without changing the UI zoom or using a CSS mod (actually is easy to do) would be helpful.

@hadden89 Whether it's 4 pixels or 6 pixels, it's not going to help much. I think a better solution is to Reorder Tab Stacks by Dragging Thumbnails to rearrange tabs within tab stacks.
-
@pesala If one use tab thumbs. I don't
-
@hadden89 Actually, the thread pointed by Pesala is about thumbnails appearing when you hover the mouse over the tab stack. (ie not the permanent thumbs that you can choose to display or not). Or have you disabled the "hovering" thumbnail pop-up too?
If you want to re-order the tab stack, I think that waiting half a second for the thumbnails to be displayed is acceptableHowever, if the goal if your post was to point out the fact that the currently selected tab is not easily noticeable in the stack at first glance, I agree this won't help much.
-
@guilimote Disabled both. Maybe I'll give another chance to hover popups.
But dragging/(un)stacking should be comfortable in any case and without any thumb is just too small to be easily dragged/stacked. -
@hadden89 Even with two more pixels they are still going to be too small to drag comfortably — even less so if you don't remove tab spacing at the top, and don't keep the window maximised.
-
@pesala
Also true, but I usually don't keep v-maximized (half screen).
Of course, hover popups + increased height of indicator it's even better then I'll upvote the other request too for easy dragging -
I agree with @Pesala that whatever the number of pixel of the indicator, its main flaw is that it was not designed as a way to interact with tabs, but only as a quick and small clue of what is enabled.
Imho, an other good solution to solve the lack of visibility and ergonomics within a stack was the one proposed by Opera 12, ie the possibility to expand a stack when you're working on its tabs --> https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/24251/open-close-tab-stacking
Indeed, most of the time you don't work on every stacks at the same time: if you group them by activity, you can expand or collapse them when you work on a type of activity or an other. -
