Bookmarks added to main menu – Vivaldi Browser Snapshot 1.15.1111.3

Thanks a lot - this should do the trick so I can finally convince my little brother to use Vivaldi. The full screen stuff was his last argument not to switch - so now he has to give it a try at least. xD

Bookmarks menu -- Yay!
FYI, I've filed a bug so that we can get an option to disable auto-sorting.
-
When in fullscreen, the main menu remains visible over anything (webpage or UI element). Changing the position of tab bar doesn't help it. I don't know if this is an intended behaviour with the "toggle UI element in fullscreen" feature but it make bookmark bar unusable in fullscreen when it's on the top of the screen. Running OpenSuse Leap 42.3.

Oh nice !
It would be cool if we could go from one menu to another on the menubar just by moving the mouse though, like in every other application. That would be a nice UX boost -
The download panel still missing while downloading file.

Something seems to not be working quite as intended:
(Reported as VB-38136) -
@pesala: everyone is talking about that, but noone said how to trigger this
I tried Ctrl + F11 and it isn't working well: https://i.imgur.com/uGb8zEX.jpg

@komposten Thanks for the screenshot, it the exact same problem I pointed out.

Now I just wish that the UI toggle would work when watching e.g. YouTube videos too. There used to be a time when you could trick Vivaldi to "fullscreen" YT videos while still showing the full browser UI (using a fullscreen mode bug to make the video player fill the whole webpage space, while Vivaldi was not actually in fullscreen). It was great to be able to navigate between tabs without breaking the "fullscreen" view, and also see if I got Facebook notifications (indicated on the tab favicon/title).
I absolutely loved that, and was sad when it was patched away.
(Hmm, maybe there is an extension for that... ETA: Found one! Why did I not think about this before?)

@ryanchuang Press "Ctrl+Shift+D"
-
@jacekn Ctrl+F11 is the shortcut for Chromeless mode. Try F11 for fullscreen mode.
-
Still no good news about Prime Video...
-
Ahh, I thought toggling UI elements would mean that we can show the panel when watching a video in fullscreen. But apparently this update only addresses the regular fullscreen. Anyway, thanks.

@carlonike: seriously ? god ... Vivaldi please, wake up ...
-
Issue is known, and in progress, but its a big task it seems.
-
Notes is disappearing when you scroll it all to the bottom and leave scrollbar there.
-
Still not launching maximized all the time.

[New Feature] User interface in full screen mode
Thank you. I like it . . . except it would be more useful if it were available from the main menu.
It's impossible for me to remember Vivaldi-specific shortcuts which I don't use everyday. Therefore, I need a cheat-sheet, which is usually called "menu"
Another problem of shortcuts is: once you familiarize yourself with a shortcut on Vivaldi, you would start to try it on other similar applications and will be frustrated because it does different things on different apps! Shortcuts would become your muscle memory and you don't want to commit them on your muscle memory unless they are available on most similar applications.
Also, it would be nice to have a new mode "Presentation" which is equivalent to Fullscreen + Hide UI, which I think is a common use case of UI hiding.

start using them everyday, then, it's never too late to learn something more.

Thanks for the bookmarks menu. Some little tweaks and it will be perfect
