[New Feature] User interface in full screen mode
Thank you. I like it . . . except it would be more useful if it were available from the main menu.
It's impossible for me to remember Vivaldi-specific shortcuts which I don't use everyday. Therefore, I need a cheat-sheet, which is usually called "menu"
Another problem of shortcuts is: once you familiarize yourself with a shortcut on Vivaldi, you would start to try it on other similar applications and will be frustrated because it does different things on different apps! Shortcuts would become your muscle memory and you don't want to commit them on your muscle memory unless they are available on most similar applications.
Also, it would be nice to have a new mode "Presentation" which is equivalent to Fullscreen + Hide UI, which I think is a common use case of UI hiding.

start using them everyday, then, it's never too late to learn something more.

Thanks for the bookmarks menu. Some little tweaks and it will be perfect

I am not seeing anything in full screen mode?
-
@saudiqbal What shortcuts have you assigned to the toolbars? Note that does not work with fullscreen videos, just for fullscreen web pages.

None, I thought address bar and navigation buttons going to be drop down when I move the mouse up top, just like hidden taskbar in Windows.

@ryofurue All you need to remember is F2. Press it, then type the name of whatever command you are looking for. Voilá!
Faster than using the menu bar, and you access pretty much every single function in Vivaldi, switch tabs, search, etc.
-
Will there ever be an "organize bookmarks?" Especially being able to delete old ones?
-
@paulpyle Easily done in the Bookmarks Panel.
-
would be better if you could [rmb] on a bookmark link from the toolbar and be able to edit it..ala firefox ... instead you have to use the sidebar bookmarks to rename bookmarks and good luck just editing the url of a bookmarked url..
and [mmb] autoscroll still selects page content.. 8months now?

"You can now toggle the appearance of all hidden UI elements while in fullscreen."
How and where do I do this? In fullscreen mode? But how? -
@burbuja with the menu/View or their keyboard shortcuts
-
I toggeled the statusbar (ctrl + shift + s) in fullscreen-mode, but Vivaldi does not reember this. Is it a bug?
-
@burbuja No. After exiting for fullscreen mode, the toolbars are hidden again the next time you open it.

@pesala
Hi, is it possible to show the tabs during fullscreen mode?Cheers, mib
-
@komposten: same here

Toggle UI elements in fullscreen should work on moving mouse to the top of the screen - no key pressing needed (for me it's Shift+F11).
Just like in firefox - you just move cursor to the top and have tab and address bar visible. -
@mib2berlin Yes. If you assign a shortcut to show/hide any toolbar that makes it easy to do. Otherwise, you can use the Quick Commands dialogue (F2). I use:
- F8 or Ctrl L = Focus address field
- Shift F8 = Toggle Address Bar
- F4 = Toggle panels (or GestureRight, GestureLeft)
- s = Toggle Status Bar
- b = Toggle Bookmarks Bar
Assign whatever shortcuts suit your workflow.
For those who want Autohide, vote for the Option to Autohide Tab Bar UI
-
It won't let me right click on a folder and open all the bookmarks in it at once like you can in the Bookmarks Panel. This has always been a problem in the Bookmarks Bar, but only with sub-folders, not a parent or standalone folder.

The UI toggles in fullscreen mode are cool, erm very helpful.
Thanks a lot.
